So I love nerdy pick up lines. I love them. I tend to write them everywhere, on forums, in random places (they make the best graffiti!), but I realised I haven't written any here yet. So here are a few:
- Would you mind if I gravitated towards your events horizon?
- You must be a biochemist; I could feel my dopamine levels rise from across the room
- Baby, I may be no geologist, but I know how to make your bed rock!
- With those harmonic curves I can see some serious vibrations between us
- If I were sin^2x and you were cos^2x we could be 1
And now some of my favourites:
- If you were a phaser you'd be set on stunning
- C'mon baby, light my Bunsen!
- Are you doctor Who cause I want to go for a rise in your tardis
And the greatest pick up line of all time:
- If I were an enzyme I'd be DNA Helicase so I could unzip your genes
Have you got any pick up lines in your arsenal or have you had any good ones used on you?
Haha These were good. Sadly, I am not a witty nerd and the *cough* "persons" (I use this term with hesitation!) who try this stuff with me are not witty, nor are they proper nerds. :( (There is a nerd shortage where I live. The internet has saved me and my nerdiness! We need a nerd repopulation program here.) :D
ReplyDeleteGreat post! :)
A nerd shortage! Horror! There aren't many nerds were I live, either, it's a bit of a bogan town. There's only a feel nerds here (and they're all my family and friends).
ReplyDeleteI'm all for nerd repopulation!
LOLLL, that's funny.
ReplyDeleteGo the Nerds! :D.
Penguins Quack, We must unite and form a secret society devoted to nerd repopulation! Saving civilization one nerd at a time! :D
ReplyDeleteNerd repopulation, YES! I live in Southern California, which is Cool Kid territory (flip-flops, beanies, and 'I'm too cool to wave so I'll give you the peace sign and/or just flip you off'), so I know how you two feel! Thankfully, I am a Stealth Nerd and can pass as a cool kid, provided the Cool Kids do not ask me about medieval society and/or English naval history. I can sorta talk Jonas Brothers, and slip by on Taylor Swift. I'm skilled an' I know it.
ReplyDeleteBut these are some amazing lines! I'd heard the last one, but the other ones were great. :D
I don't even try to blend in, Scott. I feel if they won't accept me for who I am then screw 'em. Sometimes I'll even go out of my way to freak them out. I sort of agree with that "be yourself" cliche.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly does nerd repopulation involve? Because the whole repopulation bit sounds a lot like it involves sex. Although I think, as nerds, cloning will serfice and probably be more efficient.
Oh and, Naval history! That's awesome! I did work experience at a naval museum once and it was one of the best times I've ever had.
ReplyDeleteI'm a war history geek.
One day I will be a curator at a war museum. You will see.
I wear my nerd badge with honor. Primarily because I fail miserably when I try to not be nerdy. But I also like to freak people out too. :D
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about infiltrating nerdless areas with special forces nerds. We'll parachute them in and they'll unleash obscure literary phrases, Star Trek quotes, and random history factoids without mercy. *straps on combat boots*
Ooh, I like military history too! Either of you into strategy as well? Ever read Sun Tzu's The Art of War? Great book. My dad gave it to me as my 11th b.day present. I read and annotated! Haha I was a nerd even at a tender age.
Awesome plan, Zella! *streaks on war paint*
ReplyDeleteThe Art of War is one of my brother's favourite books (that and World War Z - a zombie book). I haven't read it yet. I am unfortunately a really slow reader and of late I spend too much time reading manga and not actual books. (Once I'm up to date on Skip Beat and One Piece I swear I will get back to proper litrature)
I enjoy freaking people out with my nerdiness. It is really fun. Good times, good times.
